Things are going great right now! I actually have time to get some designing done now that my schedule is set better at work! Woohoo! Now I just need to figure out what I’m doing store-wise.  Maybe I should just sell at my shoppe here, but then again, I would miss the collabs and forum of a consignment store.  I have a few places to decide between, I do know that I only want to be at one consignment store…

So here’s the new products!!

Hope you like them! There will be more soon! :)  I will be going on a mini-vacation Sunday through Tuesday, but hopefully I will be back with more stuff before that!

Yep, MDM is closing…

It was Holly that gave me a chance last October (2006).  A chance to get noticed when she brought me on at PDW.  When she brought me over to MDM I was so excited, shocked, anxious, giddy… I don’t even know how to explain how I really felt.  I guess I felt like someone believed in me and saw potential in me, and it wasn’t just a nobody, it was HOLLY.  Honestly, I think she has done that for MANY people.  I realize that some people have some not-so-nice things to say about Holly, but if you look at how she has helped some of us, look at all she has done and accomplished, it’s an amazing thing.  I wish her the best of luck and hope that her photography business flourishes even more than it has already. 

So I must look for a new home…  which I don’t know will be an easy thing.  I have worked with some of the most amazing designers, and I think I will have to be picky about where I go next.  Meanwhile, I will be selling my designs at my digital muse until November 1st when it closes, and I will continue to sell at my personal shoppe.   Thanks to everyone who has supported me and MDM, I hope you will continue to enjoy my designs in the future!!!

You think you know… but you have no idea

lol I was sick for a bit with an aweful cold/flu, whatever it was, and it went through everyone in the family! First my Mother in law, then Treyson, then DH, then Peyton, then me… and when I finally start to get better, Treyson and Peyton both got sick AGAIN!  Needless to say, the past few weeks have been crappy.  Thankfully, the kids are almost back to feeling normal, just a few sniffles still!

Other than that, there is nothing super exciting to post about. I haven’t designed anything new, but I did have some things to work on for Digital Tag Team.  I got those done, and now we are working on some more things for the site. 

I actually get to work a day shift today instead of night, but only because one of my co-workers is having surgery today.  Hopefully I will have some more days starting next month when there are only 3 of us working rather than 4. 

Also, if anyone knows of any stores looking for designers, let me know! I am hoping to have more time to design now that summer is at it’s end and school has started.  Although, with Trey in football, I may be wrong! lol

Holy headache, Batman!

Yep, the nasty headache is STILL not gone! I am miserable!  I even tried to take a nap today and my head hurt so bad I couldn’t even sleep.  I figured I would jump on here and let you all know that I am not purposely neglecting my new blog, just in pain! lol I have to work in an hour, so I just wanted to show you what was in my grab bag last weekend at My Digital Muse!

Got excederin?

That’s what my head is saying right now! lol It’s been a week with this dang headache, and even the excederine migraine isn’t working!  It takes the edge off, but my head still throbs!  I think I need to drink more water.  I haven’t been drinking as much as I used to, so maybe I need more!  My skin is SUPER dry too, so that’s one more reason that makes me think I need more H2O! 

Well, my grab bag isn’t selling very well this month at all.  So if you are on the edge and haven’t purchased yet, please do! I promise it’s worth it if you like cardboard, glitter, stitching, alphas, and kits! lol 

Yesterday we got most of Treyson’s school shopping done.  He got 2 new pair of Vans “skateboarding shoes” as he calls them, a pair of New Balance tennies for gym, a couple pair of cool new jeans, some t-shirts, a backpack and most of his school supplies.  There was a few things we couldn’t find so we will have to go back for the rest.  He still needs more clothes, but I know Gramma Marge has bought him a bunch of things over the summer to give him for school! lol  He got his hair cut today and he looks SO much older all of the sudden! I can’t believe he’s going into 3rd grade.  Ahhh!  How did he get to 3rd grade already!? It seems like he just got out of kindergarten last year! haha

I am off to try and get some mojo/inspiration for some pieces I need for a collab for Mega-Byte Mall.. and I want to take some shots of Trey with his new hair “spikes”! haha

Disasterous!

Yep, that is what today was, a disaster! lol Nothing went my way, my head may explode at any moment, work was boring and now I have a chance to sit down and catch up on my shows! I need to watch Big Brother and So you think you can dance!!  I haven’t had a chance to play with my camera yet, either! Ahhh!  I did get my Grab Bag finished and it’s up for sale at My Digital Muse for two days only!!  It’s packed with goodies for just $2!!

 

So run over and grab that if you like GREAT deals!! :)  I need to sell some so I can buy another lens for my new camera! lol

Oh! I forgot to tell you all that you need to check out this awesome new site!! It’s the Mega-Byte Mall!! It’s very awesome that I was invited personally to join this site, but even more awesome is the concept! How easy and quick it makes it to shop at all your favorite designer’s stores! woohoo!

$2 Wednesday at My Digital Muse!

Yep, it’s Wednesday again and that means great bargains at My Digital Muse! 

This week I have my Child’s Play Kit up for just $2!  That’s 50% off of this super fun kit!

Other than that I still have to finish up my grab bag stuff, and I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of my camera! Ahhh!  According to UPS tracking, it went “out for delivery” at 6:53 am and I know it’s coming… but the waiting is killing me! haha  It will probably be here between 11 and 12, because that’s when UPS usually rolls around this neighborhood.  So until then I just have to try and keep my mind off of it (yeah, like that will happen)!

Work stunk yesterday.  The nights have been pretty dead, but it’s not very nice out today so hopefully it will make people want to go shopping. lol It should be busy this month because of kids going off to college, teens that beg their parents for a cell phone enough so they’ll have one for school… that sort of thing.  It seems to have picked up during the day, but not at night.

The kids are being adorable today! That’s not unusual, but I thought we were in for some trouble today since Peyton woke up cranky as ever, but they’ve been playing with Lego’s and watching Nick Jr. happily for 2 hours now! DH is half asleep on the couch reading a book and I *should* be finishing up my grab bag stuff, so I am off to do that now! Hopefully I’ll be back posting about my awesome new camera tomorrow!

I need a massage!

Yep, anyone want to take a trip to Wisconsin and give me a massage so that this migraine goes away?  For real, my head is killing me! :(  It started yesterday afternoon at work, I took two ibuprofin immediately.  It got a little less painful for about an hour or so, then some guys came in to the store to re-do the countertops and it was all downhill from there! Those tools are LOUD! haha  DH and I had planned to catch up on “our shows” which last night consisted of Hell’s Kitchen, Flight of the Concords, Weeds, Californication and then some of season 1 of Dexter.  Well, after the first couple my head was getting worse and worse and by the time I forced myself to stay awake through Californication, I couldn’t stand it anymore. So I went to bed and Davin stayed up and played some video games. Lovely that I woke up with the headache still.  So I took some excederine Migraine, and I’m drinking my coffee… so hopefully this headache will be gone in time for work tonight!

In other exciting news, haha… My camera should be here tomorrow! I have wanted a DSLR camera for years, and had been lusting after the Canon Rebel XT… but after all my research, going to the shop to hold them all, play around with them, I decided to go with the Nikon D40.  Since I am not planning on going into professional photography, the fact that it has fewer lens choices than the canon wasn’t a huge deal for me.  Everyone said HOLD THE CAMERAS and decide.  Well I did, many times, and it wasn’t until just the last time that I was there that I realized the D40 was WAY more comfy for me!  The shutter button on the canon seemed to far away for my finger, while the D40 was just perfect.  I pondered on the D40x, but read some reviews on the upgrades and they were minimal, in fact many said they liked the D40 better than the D40x!  I won’t be printing any poster size prints, so 6.1 mp should be good for me! I can’t wait to play around with it and learn some great things from my “Understanding Exposure” book!

I SLEPT IN!

It’s a miracle!  lol  I worked all day yesterday and came home to an empty house at 6:30 pm.  Davin was at work and Trey was still at the cabin with his Grampa, and Peyton took a little road trip out with Gramma for the night to the cabin (but they were staying in a hotel, lol).  So I picked up the living room, added the last little touches to the shoppe that I wanted, and then Davin was home from work around 9:40 pm.  My sister and Bob (her boyfriend) called on their way home from their trip to Six Flags: Great America, and said they were coming over to play games and hang out.  So we were up until 4:30 in the morning playing “Scene It: Movies 2nd Edition”  It was great fun!  The boys against the girls… and sadly, the boys kicked our buns every game. haha I do say there are definetly WAY too many Star Wars questions in that version of Scene It! haha  So yeah, since the kids are gone, Davin and I slept until 1 pm! Crazy! I feel like I am in high school again! lol

 So today I need to get my grab bag stuff done!  I have a couple items ready, but have 2 more to do!  So if anyone is actually reading this… leave me some creative dust!
